Talal Fatal

This month’s featured artiste has been in the Ghanaian music industry for long and has kept a low profile about himself. We are talking about Talal Fatal, the veteran singer, songwriter, arranger, producer and CEO of Metro TV. For a man like Talal, music and entertainment has been a part of him.

He has been around the Ghanaian music industry for twelve years and has many accolades; Talal is still going strong and recently relaunched his musical career with his Eboni album dubbed ‘Money & Fame’.

Grace Ashy

Any good music lover who listened with rapt attention to the lyrics and rhythms of Grace Ashy, the gospel musician of the moment, would realize that most of the words of her songs were carefully chosen and woven to convey some sentimental messages to listeners.

Grace, a product of a broken home, has passionately used words of admonishments to sing praises and give thanks to the almighty God, for strengthening and encouraging her to stand the test of time after her parents had parted ways when she was just six-years-old.

Kokovelli

In showbiz, he is known as Kokovelli but was born in real life as Nathaniel Totimeh to Mr. Prince Totimeh and Mrs. Mavis Ofosu Appiah in Accra.

‘Koko’ as he is sometimes called had his elementary education at Datus Complex, moved on to Morning Star and later on proceeded to Ridge Church School. He then had his secondary level of education at Mfantsipim Secondary School.

Kokovelli, once a student of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) did not want to depend on his parents after school so he decided to do something profitable.

About a decade ago, the Soul Winners – Apostolic, an all-made traditional gospel group was, out of passion to reach a corrupt and dying world with the word of God through music, formed in Dansoman, a suburb of Accra by seven men.

The group now 13 in number has aspired to become Ghana’s traditional gospel music ambassadors.

As a result of this the group has a native musical instrument to compliment the existing contemporary ones to give fusion, with originality identified with the Soul Winners Apostolic.
