    TRIBUTE TO A WONDERFUL SON OF GHANA BY NACY

    Komla Dumor, the news of your demise came as a shock to all of us here in Ghana. We received it with great pain and sorrow. You were a cherished and much loved son of our dear Nation. You rightly deserve it because you made the Nation proud through your hard work.

    Most of us knew you through your voice but loved you so much because associating with your kind gave us so much hope and pride.

    How I wish this was not true;

    How I wish the days could be reversed;

    Oh how I wish you didn’t have to go;

    The list can go on and on.

    Komla, the pain is too much to bear. All I could do on that fateful day was to sit behind my keyboard and play this hymn for myself, “It is well with my soul”, thinking deeply about your family.

    Alas, we are faced with this heavy blow too difficult to accept. Yet we are confident that you are with our Maker.

    Great son of the African Soil! You made us proud; you made your family proud, you made Ghana proud.

    Komla damirifa due, due ne amanehunu

    Komla h3 d3 nyue

    Komla may your beautiful soul Rest in Perfect Peace.
