    XRP to launch latest album within first quarter of 2012

    With their unique, azonto, soul inspiring, heartwarming, thrilling, and danceable songs of hiplife music, the Accra base rappers, XRP, have distinguished themselves as arguably the most successful hiplife musical icons in recent times.

    XRP distinctive blend of Africa and the Western beats give them a cutting edge in the music industry. Their energetic style of ushering fans into enthusiastic mood earned them acclamations all over the country and their club banging song “Africa Girl” has won the heart of many Ghanaians.

    Their last album ‘Baby Come to Me’ was a hit all over Ghana and the rest of the world. Hit songs such as ‘Love You’ continues to resonate amongst many music lovers in Africa and around the globe.

    XRP’s thrilling performances has always left their many fans on the edge as to what to expect in upcoming albums, They have not disappointed them so far and their latest album yet to be released will further prove why they have won many music fans worldwide.

    XRP will launch their latest album, ‘Azonto Girl’, during this first quarter of 2012. It is currently available for download on itunes and it has already won thousands of admirers.

    The Album will be launched in Accra first and followed by a nationwide launch tour.

    XRP who is also known as “Rap Generals” has described ‘Azonto Girl’ as their most promising and soul touching album yet.

    The latest album, ‘Azonto Girl’, was recorded live in Accra by award winning sound engineer, Appietus . He has recorded hiplife greats like Tic Tac, Sakordie, Castro, Asem and many others.

    Appietus has dominated quality music recording for the past two decades and has recorded albums of numerous artistes.

    Azonto Girl has eight tracks with hits like ‘Tears of my Lover’, ‘Mama Esi’, ‘Nyansa Po’ and ‘Wicked Shall Fall’.

    Speaking on the latest album, David Opoku-Boateng, leader of the group described it as one which will take Ghana music to new heights. The trio is made up of Bismark Oppong, David Opoku-Boateng and Stephen Omari Kissi .
