Frederick Fiifi Acquah better known by his stage name FREDDY1 is a Ghanaian rapper from Eastern Region of Ghana. Freddy1 was born to Ghanaian parents of the Akan ethnic group of Birim South, Akim Oda, E/R Ghana on November 18.
He was a good student in class, except that he was usually rapping with his lesson notes.
He had the passion for music from infancy, and wrote his 1st song in primary 5.
He took music seriously aside his books @ high school, Adisadel College, as he became the deputy entertainment prefect, and made a couple of popular campus hit songs with his group, Lyrical Factory, that got them perform in almost all the schools in Central Region.
He enrolled in Ghana Airways Training Centre to study Ticketing and Travel Knowledge, as he was trying to figure out what life has for him. Right after, He got admission into University of Ghana to study B.A. political science. During this time, he couldn't stop writing and performing his songs, but also added acting to his hobbies.After Uni he did his national service @ EPA, ministries, and after he decided to do away with all the jobs at his door steps and concentrate on music.
He connected with his friend, Jere in Tema, who introduced him to Mc Coaches of Penthaus Productions in mid 2010. A year and a half later, he got signed and was branded as Freddy1 by Penthaus, the management group. However he recorded a couple of mixtapes and stepped up with his 1st professional recording single "iCLEAR" feat. Mohammed produced by Killbeatz at MOB studios. "iCLEAR" enjoys radio airplay in Ghana, Uk and beyond.
The official video too has been favorably played on GhOne, Viasat1, Klear TV (UK) and many other TV stations in GH and abroad. Because of his humility and good human relations, he was immediately featured in several club performances and big shows like Vienna Azonto Tour (Tema, Takoradi Kumasi and Accra), Rapperholic2 Concert (K'si), and a few platforms in Kwahu during 2012 Easter. And ultimately, he was on the bill of the Azonto Fiesta show (Abijan), with Itz Tiffany as the main act of the concert. Where his performance impressed and attracted many Ivoirian artistes to feature him on their songs.
He featured on Djella Fashion's song, together with Yaw Siki, and shot a video same day. He's done a couple of collaborations with Fritz, Stay Jay, Yaw Siki, Mohammed and many other artistes, in preparation for his debut album ADMISSION.
