The build-up to the Diana Hamilton experience had become palpable as is typical of events but the night of 31st of May exceeded expectations with an exquisitely planned and executed event.
The night began with various guest artistes treating the packed house of over 1500 audiences at the Fountain Gate Tabernacle Auditorium in London to a bevy of well-rehearsed gospel music of various genres, including performances by award winning artistes such as Isabella and Evans Ogboi with Living Voices. Nayaah was also a revelation on the night.
Diana made her grand entrance on to the stage at about 8.30pm to a thunderous applause by the crowd that had thronged the auditorium and there was no looking back. Her band and backing singers ushered her in with a modern rendition of ‘lift up your heads’ followed by “Papa Reigns” which is fast becoming an international gospel anthem. The mood of the night reached fever pitch when Diana surprised the crowd by inviting multi award winning gospel artiste Cwesi Oteng to join her on stage to do his ever so popular song “God Dey Bless Me”. Other surprise guest artistes on the night were DSP Kofi Sarpong and Wole Awolola who also joined Diana on stage.
Audiences were also thrilled and God’s name lifted by some of Diana’s popular songs such as ‘Ensi Wo Yie’, ‘Everything I need’ and ‘Eye Woa’.
The night ended with a red carpet photo session where Diana made time to interact and take photos with guests and fans.
All in all it was a night to remember and truly an experience that will linger.
Diana will be touring the USA in July with dates to be released soon. CDs and DVDs of the live event will be available soon.
