Even though "DoneDeal" has changed his name, his fans still still refer to me as Stevo.

"I'm originally from Ghana, West Africa where I was born and raised. I grew up in a household where music was the glue of the family", he said.

When he was 5 years old, he always heard my mom and uncles grooving to songs by musicians such as Bob Marley, Boney M, Fela Kuti etc.

"In secondary school, I had a friend who was a part time Dj and I was privileged to hear different genres of music from his collections. It was then that I began to develop a great interest in music", he said about his music journey.

However, for some reason his interest channeled towards rap music and was drawn to the hip hop culture because it was so fascinating; everything from Djing, Breakdancing and most of all emceeing.

Some of my his favourite artistes back then (in the '90's) were the Wutang Clan, Nas, Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg, and of course 2pac and Biggie Smalls.

He later formed a rap group with some equally talented friends in his Dansoman neighborhood; named ourselves "DC Clan"(Dansoman City Clan).

Although they were having some success with our first single titled "Anumdwa" meaning bragging, their emergence was still gradual and right on the verge of releasing their debut album his parents who at that period were based in the United States arranged for him to join them.

Since his arrival in the States, Ihe has been preoccupied with both work and school and has been compelled to put his music dreams on the back burner.

After all these years he feels like he is the position to reinvent himself and pursue his music career.

"I'm an independent artist signed to my own label called Grind House Inc. I also own a recording studio in Santa Clarita, CA where I'm currently working, producing, mixing and mastering songs for my solo debut album title "Da Unfinished Bizness" slated to be released in November of this year. For me, music is my life...not because that's a cliché term that fits well with my career of choice, but because you must create your life, and in doing so, I create music. My music is a large part of my spirit and my spirit is meant to be shared", he said
