    Rocky Dawuni @ "Hawaii Spirit Music Festival" on October 23 - Oahu!

    Fresh off his amazing performance at the 18,000 strong “WE DAY” in Toronto, Canada, ROCKY DAWUNI will be appearing at the Hawaii Spirit Music Festival on October 23 in Oahu.

    Rocky will be performing with an international band including saxophonist Dave Ralicke from Dengue Fever fame.

    The Hawaii Spirit Music Festival is a four-day celebration of Yoga, Music, Movement and Hawaiian Culture. With workshops ranging from Vinyasa to Pranayama, or Drumming and Tai Chi, this festival honors many of the infinite pathways that reunite us with the spirit flows through the breath of all things.

    Other artists performing live on October 23 include the very popular Go Jimmy Go, John Cruz, Iyeoka amongst many others at the beautiful Turtle Bay Resort on the North Shore of Oahu.

    Ghana’s international music star Rocky Dawuni has leveraged his popularity within and without of the continent to champion social causes and inspire a generation of artists and fans alike. Dawuni’s eloquence as well as his successful melding of musical celebrity and social action has made him a spokesperson for various causes worldwide.     Rock Paper Scissors, Giant Step and the Sanford Company have all gotten behind the title which has been charting heavily on CMJ.

    The 11 song album was inspired and written over the course of his travels around the world particularly Israel, Finland, Jamaica, U.S. and Ghana in his quest to articulate and craft a record that reflected the common spiritual, political and social aspirations of ordinary folks around the world.

    These events come on the heels of the Ghanaian stars recent two month European tour, his show stopping performance at the Levitt Pavilion in Los Angeles and his critically acclaimed appearance on the influential KCRW's “Morning Becomes Eclectic” radio show with Jason Bentley.
