Speaking to Yaw Sakyi on the Rundown this week, she threw a challenge to all female singers to watch out for her because soon, she would become the performer to beat.

She said the current breeds of female acts in Ghana do not know how to perform and that most of their performances are ordinary and boring. She compared some of the performances she had seen over the years to children have fun at a party. She added that the thrust of her performances would be her ability to control the crowd and how she communicates with her audience. Listen to Fa Ma Me (That Dance) by Mimi feat. Tinny

Mimi’s album launch will take place at the Silverbird Media Stores at the Accra Mall, where there would be a photograph and autograph session with the singer. She will also premiere her latest music video for ‘DJ’, which she describes as a ‘Popish’ garage tune.

The video again was shot by Phamous People, directors for her previous videos, ‘Leave Me Alone’ and ‘Tattoo’. There will be a string of after-parties for the public and her close friends including one at Tantra Niteclub later in the evening, where she is expected to perform for the first time ever.

Viewers of the Rundown got an exclusive preview of her performance when Mimi was coerced and teased by the host to sing some lines from ‘Tattoo’.
