Popular Ghanaian Dancehall Guru, Mr. Logic, has announced a joint with his fellow veteran, Root Eye.

The song titled “One People” he says is supposed to be a conscious dancehall lyrical record to inject the message of peace into the youths ahead of the National Polls in November.

BeenieWords granted him an interview over the phone and this was what he had to say; “Root-I is my old dog. We’ve lived in the same room before as brethren. The music politics sometimes brings the confusion between us but aside that we are very cool. We are looking actually at recording in two studios. Inside Red Eye’s (Nature) studio and another studio. People have this mind (between me and him) that we are at loggerheads and some want to know who is bad on Riddim. We are veterans and we are not about that. That was the reason we both decided to do this together. We need to clean up the Dancehall scene. There are other peace songs but we want to do a more lyrical and deep Dancehall thing. So the fans should watch out for something great”.

Root Eye is currently the head of Reggae Department at MUSIGA; has been a very instrumental figure in the history of Ghana Reggae/Dancehall. His ragga feature on Reggie Rockstone’s “Sweetie Sweetie” song still wins him great reverence in the genre among other works he’s done.

Mr. Logic has been a key figure in the history of Ghana Dancehall. He’s been recording in the early 90s till the early 2000s; he now pitches himself as an educator/director of the genre here in Ghana where he has helped groom some of the notable big acts like Jupitar, Episode, Vybrant Faya and many more.

He was one time Manager of celebrated Ghanaian singjay, Shatta Wale, formerly known as Bandana.
