Ghanaian dancehall legend, yes, legend, Samini – is gearing up feverishly for the 3rd edition of the self-produced music concert, ‘Saminifest’; and interestingly, fans, observers and music critics are expectant of a major surprise for the event.

That surprise, per the checks of www.entertainmentgh.ccom – is the purported appearance at the concert of another dancehall great, Shatta Wale, also a one-time fierce rival of Samini.

The expectant showing of Shatta Wale at the concert is stemming from the recent seemingly cordial relationship transpiring between the two.

The two, who in the last couple of years, had thrown jabs at each other on all fronts: music, social media and at events – were seen sharing ‘love’ messages on social media a couple of weeks ago when Shatta Wale celebrated his birthday.

On whether Shatta will make a grand appearance at ‘Saminfest’, Samini addressed the matter with Joy News’ Doreen Avio, saying: “It has not been discussed. Both entities are strongholds in the dancehall genre so; any businessman can take advantage and organize something.”

With the amiable relationship existing between the two, and in the spirit of preaching peace during the general elections, fans are still hopeful of an appearance. Will he make it?

This year’s edition will take place on December 3 at the Ghana International Trade Fair Centre (GITF) in Accra and will bring together music lovers, particularly Samini fans all over the country, to celebrate his works and also showcase classic performances from leading Ghanaian artistes.

The likes VVIP, Kwaw Kese, Kofi Kinaata,Black Prophet, Tic Tac, Joey B, Gasmilla, Kaakie, Jupiter, Mzbel and Stonebwoy among many others are expected to make a showing.
