BET African Artist of the year award nominee and multiple award winner, D-Black da Ghana Bwouy  makes Ghana proud yet again by being the first Ghanaian to hit the official African Billboard charts ‘The Afribiz Charts’ with the first single off his upcoming ‘The Revelation Album’ with the hip hop club banger ‘My Kinda Girl’ featuring Sarkodie. The man who just wrapped up his Yes Boss Nationwide Tour this December in Accra and undoubtedly Ghana’s biggest anglophone hiphop artist continentally, D-Black enters the charts with ‘ My Kinda Girl’ at number 31 following other popular African acts, Naeto C at number 3 with his 5&6 tune, Wiz Kid from Nigeria with Tease Me at number 16, Ice Prince’s Superstar at number 11, P-Square and Tiwa Savage at number 10 and 2 respectively with Kenya’s Kamp Mulla topping the charts at number 1 with their hit record ‘Party Don’t stop’ and South Africa’s HHP,Tear Gas and Liquid Deep at number 34 with ‘Born For tThis’. D-Black’s new single ‘Falling’ features Nigeria’s Mo Cheddah on the hugely infectious love record who debuts on the charts herself at number 43 with her new single ‘See Me’.

Let’s urge more Ghanaian hip hop and rnb artists to follow suit and market their music continentally and make Ghana proud and contest with Africa’s best. Kudos and best of luck to D-Black representing hip hop Ghana and aim for the number 1 spot. The most central reason for  the Afribiz Charts was due to the fact that urban African music was missing an intercontinental chart where african artists can contest at a high level. African artists have a great potential, yet not the whole of the African population is aware of it and their music and we believe strongly that the Afribiz online music chart is going to bridge that gap.

We are proud to be the first ever billboard chart to hit Africa.

The African Billboard charts will urge musicians and their respective record labels and management teams to always deliver their best.

Modern day African music is fast becoming popular in the international arenas of entertainment, this however is due to hard work which has been seen coming from DSTV channels on our continent such as Trace TV ,Channel O, MTV Base and  DSTV Radio stations.
