The founder of International God`s Way Church Bishop Daniel Obinim aka Halleluyah Halleluyah has revealed on Metro TV last Saturday that it was through his prayers and directions that made Guru`s popular song Lapaz Toyota a smash and an instant hit.

The man of God made this revelation during his weekend TV show on Metro TV where he has been telecasting some of the happenings in his church during church services. Do you want to be informed about the directions he gave out to the hip life artiste before that song became a hit? Continue reading.

“The good Lord is capable of making everything a success in this world. I helped and prayed for him including giving out directions to Guru. I told him to bring one of his promo Cds to me for prayers during one of our meetings. I prayed over the CD, broke it into four parts and threw them in all directions of the world geographically. I threw them to the North, South, East and the West and without doubt, Lapaz Toyota is now one of the successful songs of our time. I even played the song in the church and the congregation danced to it with a live band” Bishop Daniel Obinim told viewers of Metro Tv last Saturday.

In this our time that musicians are struggling to make hits and to enjoy the good gigs in and outside  the country, if men of God can help make songs instant hits like he did for the Empire Record and Democracy artiste Guru, then very soon all musicians will be smiling to the bank every week.

There is also this question of who is doing it best for the musicians, whether it is the men of God or the fetish priests. Do you remember that priestess who appeared on “Akeka Akeka” on Okay fm claiming she contributed to making Castro and Asamoah Gyan`s hit song African Girls a success. Unlike Obinim and Guru`s encounter, the former is praising the good Lord of being able to do everything under this sun, the priestess was also laying claims that Castro and Asamoah Gyan had refused to thank the gods who helped in making the song a hit. Flex newspaper would not want to go into details about some of the allegations that followed this revelation for fear of hurting Castro`s manager DJ Amess but we believe firmly that you heard and read some lines in the media.

Again we are also asking, should this collaboration between musicians and people with spiritual connection be encouraged to make the music industry a better one? Meanwhile, information reaching Flex newspaper confirms that Guru has been a good friend of International God`s Way Church leader Bishop Daniel Obinim and that he Guru visits him occasionally for directions and prayers. May be Guru has different plans of seeing the man of God which he can choose to explain to Flex newspaper in the near future.
