President of the Musicians Association of Ghana (MUSIGA), Mrs. Diana Hopson has described Citi FM’s Music of Ghanaian Origin (MOGO) concert as the best Highlife concert to be organized in Ghana.
The veteran musician, who has been at the helm of the leadership of musicians in Ghana for a number of years, said although some attempts have been made over the years by others to sustain Ghanaian music, Citi FM has consistently worked hard to promote and sustain Ghanaian music, culminating in the highly successful MOGO concerts.
“Once again I want to say thank you to Citi FM for MOGO and I want to encourage people to patronize it.”
She urged patrons to come in their numbers and relive the old times as they enjoy melodious tunes of authentic highlife music.
Speaking in an interview with Citi FM, Friday November 26, the ace songwriter and musician had a difficult time to pick her choice among the music legends put together for this year’s concert.
“Its difficult, I like all of them and I just can’t single one out.”
She urged all young patrons to dress appropriately for the event since Highlife had a way of getting people dancing adding that the uniqueness of the show does not call for one exposing some parts of the body.
MOGO is an annual Ghanaian musical concert which brings together families, corporate institutions, individuals and lovers of highlife to celebrate genuine Ghanaian live band music.
