Chali Musik and Idea123 Consult in Collaboration with the National Commission of Culture Brings ‘Urban Festival For The Youth’

Chali Musik and Idea123 Consult in collaboration with the National Commission of Culture, is bringing to the general public, the youth especially a Musical festival termed “Urban Festival”.

It’s going to be one its kind to ever hit the country. It’s with the aim of helping the youth in music by teaching and providing them with the tools to succeed in the Music industry.

At a press conference that was held at French Fingers in East Legon, Mr Amoako, the C.E.O of Chali Musik, threw more light on how the whole event will be.

As a maiden event, it will be taking place in all tertiary institutions across the country in a rotational sequence according to their academic calendar.

Stating that it will be in three phases.The first phase of the event will be a seminar to educate the youth in music about the technicalities in the chosen career and also various ways to make money out of their craft.

Another seminar with prominent individuals in the industry with years of experience in the craft of music will be available to give talks to the young ones, also there will be media tours across the country as the second phase of the festival.

Finally, A Musical performances from the student musicians will be witnessed as the curtain raisers, while the big dogs in the game will take over till dawn.

He made emphasizes on the point that anyone that will be absent from the phase one and two of the program will not be given the platform to showcase their talents since there’s going to be a database.

Guest of Honour, Hon. Mr Socrate Safo, Director of Creative Arts, responsible for Programmes & Projects at the Commission for National Culture, expressed his joy and interest in the upcoming event since it’s been his dream and desire to have such an initiative to cater for the youth in that creative arts sector.

He promised to do everything in his power to make the event a very successful one. He further went on to urge event organizers in the country to make use of the monument at the Kwame Nkrumah interchange, Circle that is known as the “Ghana Dubai” as an event centre since the place is idle and nothing exciting happens there.

The Urban Festival is slated for next year the 3rd of March.
