2019 Ghana National Gospel Music Awards – full list of nominations out; Shatta Wale inclusive

Organizers of the 2019 Ghana National Gospel Music Awards are out with the official list of nominations which include several secular acts such as Shatta Wale.

Among the tall list of nominees are Celestine Donkor, Akesse Brempong,  Diana Hamilton, Obaapa Christie, Enoch Narh and Nacee who will be battling it out in the biggest category, Artist of The Year.

Furthermore, this year’s nominations come with a hint of controversy as never seen or heard before in the history of Gospel music in Ghana.

A hybrid category has been included and it hosts the likes of Shatta Wale, Kofi Kinaata, Kuami Eugene, Ras Kuuku, Strongman and Dada Hafco – all secular artistes.

Organized by Global Expert Recovery Ltd, the 3rd edition of the  Ghana National Gospel Music Awards (NGMA) would see the voting academy wield 60% voting power whereas the general public wields a 40% voting power.

Public voting begins on  January 1, 2020, via  ngmagh.com.

The 2019 Ghana National Gospel Music Awards will be held on February 1, 2020.
