“Bandana From Ghana” was financed by a Japanese, distributed by Mark Okraku, but I didn’t earn anything – Shatta Wale
Shatta narrates the genesis of his beef with the deputy minister!
Shatta Wale has once again descended on current deputy minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mark Okraku Mantey on what triggered his consistent attacks on him.
Speaking with Paul Adom-Otchere on the Good Evening Ghana segment aired on Metro TV, Shatta Wale stated that he did not make any money from his first hit song “Bandana From Ghana” even though the song was a hit.
He said that Mark Okraku Mantey was his distributor at that time and yet he never earned even a pesewa from his hit song.
He said that the financier for his “Bandana From Ghana” was a Japanese together with his wife but upon knowing of his talent, they were directed to Mark Okraku Mantey since he was a distributor then.
Shatta Wale stated that he complained about not making money from his hit song to his financier and he was directed to Mark Okraku Mantey but upon reaching his office, it appears that he was reluctant in giving him what he deserved.
However, when he confronted Mark about the money, he was tagged as being rude about the whole situation.
Shatta Wale also said that Mark Okraku Mantey needs to be demoted from his position as the deputy minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture.
