Daughters of Glorious Jesus details activities marking 30th anniversary

As outlined first by ghanamusic.com, legendary Gospel music trio, Daughters of Glorious Jesus have, in a press conference, launched and detailed activities marking their 30-year anniversary in the music industry.

At a press launch held at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Accra, they expressed their gratitude to God for bringing them thus far and also outlined a number of activities to mark their anniversary.

First on the list is an upcoming Glorious30 Gala dinner to launch the Daughters 3 Foundation- an NGO that seeks to extend a hand to the less privileged in society.

They also have in plan an Europe tour in May and June and a US tour in June and July as well as regional tours in November and December.

Notable on the list of activities would be tribute concert where other musicians who take inspiration from them would perform their songs the entire event in their presence.

Several other Gospel artistes were in attendance to support and celebrate with the legends and they included SP Kofi Sarpong, Mary Ghansah, Cindy Thompson, Nii Okai and Tagoe Sisters. The event was emceed by Sunny FM’s morning drive host, K.O.J.O.

The Glorious trio also announced that they would be having a symposium to share experiences of their music journey and wrap it up with a concert dubbed ‘Glorious 30 concert’ in Accra and Kumasi in December.

Apart from that, there shall be a sanitation campaign, as their contribution to conscientising people on the need to keep the environment clean.

The manager, Andy Favoured, addressing the media, hinted on a social media challenge which requires contestants to video themselves singing their favorite DoGJ song and hashtag #glorious30 across all their social media platforms as exclusively published by ghanamusic.com prior to the press launch.

The winners of the challenge would stand a chance of dining with the trio as well as touring and performing with them on some shows.

Daughters of Glorious Jesus have 12 albums to their credit. They are known for songs like ‘Yesu Mo’, ‘Odomfo’, ‘Bebree’, ‘Woso’, ‘Adedie’, ‘Abba Father’ and ‘Yesu Fata Ayeyi.’
