King Promise manager, Kwapz adds voice to Rex Omar ‘poor’ statement

King Promise has made it very clear to Rex Omar that the new breed of musicians especially the singers are not poor as he stated on radio some weeks ago but King Promise’s manager wants to also add his voice.

King Promise manager known as Kwapz (Kwame Obeng-Kwapong) has shot down claims by veteran highlife musician Rex Omar that the current groups of musicians are poor.

During one of Rex Omar’s radio tour interviews in Cape Coast on Cape 93.3 FM’s Entertainment Xtra program with Emcee Bebe, Rex started that 90% of Ghanaian artistes have no money.

“The industry wasn’t lucrative back in the Rex Omar days as at now. Let me use my artiste King Promise as an example. There is not a single weekend that my artiste has not been booked for a concert, appearance or private wedding gig since the whole of this year. I have not even added good revenues we make from YouTube, music stores such as iTunes, Google Play, and more not forgetting about Caller Ringtones”, Kwapz said.

To Kwapz he expects Rex Omar to be throwing support behind the new breed of musicians such as King Promise, KiDi, Kuami Eugene, Kurl Songs and more. Kwapz wants collaboration opportunities and advices from most of the veteran musicians to the new school acts.

Kwapz also sees to managerial affairs of Killbeatz label – Legacy Life Entertainment aside King Promise works.

“For now let’s enjoy the song of the moment – ‘CCTV’ which features Sarkodie and Mugeez” as he ended his interview.
