Maextro TR is gradually building his brand as an artist of substance, hence our latest talent on DSCVRY. Driven by a passion for authentic narrative, the Kumasi-born, Accra-based performer has carved out an alternative identity within the contemporary Afrofusion space.
His collection relies on contemplative writing and complex melodies that capture the realities of his trip rather than manufactured patterns.
His sound spans Afro-fusion, Pop, and Alté, but what ties it together is his commitment to storytelling grounded in real-life experiences. That storytelling instinct is clearest on “Pim Pim,” the standout record from his “Is It Worth It?” EP released in September 2024.

Hiplife-influenced and quietly candid, the song addresses men’s mental health, the pressure to push through, to break every wall, to keep going regardless of the cost.
His wider discography, which includes “Yensei Da/Heavy”, “Accra to London”, “Comsi Comsa”, and “No Love” among others, reflects an artist who has been working methodically, using each release to sharpen his craft and expand his reach.
