Ghanaian songwriter and musician Wutah Kobby has officially released his much-anticipated GEN ALPHA EP.
The six-track project marks a fresh chapter in Wutah Kobby’s musical journey, exploring themes of love, relationships, attraction, self-discovery, heartbreak, forgiveness and self-respect through a contemporary African sound.
GEN ALPHA is a project built around real emotions and relatable experiences. Each song tells a distinct story, taking listeners on an emotional journey through the highs and lows of love, relationships and life.
The EP opens with “One Day With You,” a celebration of living fully in the moment. The song explores the idea that love is not always about forever; sometimes, it is about sharing one unforgettable day, experiencing a genuine connection and appreciating the present.
“Love You Forever” explores the transformative power of love. The song tells the story of finding strength, healing and a renewed sense of purpose through a special person whose love has the power to completely change the direction of one’s life.
With “Baby Boo,” Wutah Kobby celebrates the excitement of finally finding that special person. The playful and romantic track captures the feeling of discovering someone who feels like home after a long search for love.
“On My Mind” captures the unexpected power of attraction. Sometimes, a single encounter is all it takes for someone to occupy your thoughts. The song brings this familiar experience to life through melody, emotion and a relatable storyline.
The EP takes a more rhythmic turn with “Malembe,” an Afrobeat-infused celebration of chemistry, movement and attraction. In the song, the rhythm becomes the conversation, while the dance floor becomes the meeting point for two people drawn to each other.
Closing the project is “Enough Is Enough,” an empowering statement about self-respect, setting boundaries and protecting one’s peace. The song speaks to anyone who has experienced betrayal, outgrown a toxic relationship or reached the point where walking away becomes necessary.
With GEN ALPHA, Wutah Kobby delivers a project that blends contemporary African sounds with authentic storytelling and relatable emotions. Across its six tracks, the EP explores different dimensions of love and life while showcasing the Ghanaian songwriter’s versatility and evolving artistry.
