Agyakomah returns with Lipstick At The Scene Of A Crime—a seven-track project that blends R&B, neo-soul, jazz, and Afrofusion with pop sensibilities.
Written and recorded between New York City and Ghana beginning in 2023 the EP, its core, explores what happens when a woman begins choosing herself after heartbreak.
Through cheeky, layered lyricism and understated sensuality, Agyakomah paints a portrait of a woman who is unapologetic about her desires, boundaries, and standards.
The title imagines self-prioritization as the “crime,” with lipstick serving as both evidence and a symbol of agency.
Featuring production from Yogic Beats (Summer Walker, ENNY, Nippa), the EP also includes collaborations with Hawaii-born, two-time Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award-winning artist Keilana and Ghanaian alté hip-hop artist Yaw P.
Lipstick at the Scene of a Crime marks Agyakomah’s most cohesive artistic statement to date.
