Information reaching Ghana Music.com front desk is that C. K. Mann died this morning at Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority hospital in Takoradi.

Charles Kofi Amankwaa Mann was 83 years old.

The Cape Coast descendent started music with Kakaiku band before joining Ocean Strings.

He later left Kakaiku band and joined The Carousel 7.

One song that was doing well in the last 60s by CK Mann was ‘Edina Benya’.

Mann had several hit songs, including “Asafo beesuon”, “Obaa yaa aye me bone”, “Kolomashie”, “Dofo bi akyerew me”, “Ankwasema Dede”, “Okwan Tsentsen Awar”, “Aboa Akonkoran”, “Beebi A Odo Wo”, “Tsie M’afotusem”, “Ebusua Ape Adze Aye Me”, “Yebeyi Wo Aye”, and “Do me ma mondo Wo bi”.

His last album, “Wope Nyeho” was produced by West Gold Music Studio in Takoradi and released in 2013.

C K Mann suffered a stroke a few years. May he rest in perfect Peace
