Warner Music Africa and Atlantic UK Collaborate in Accra Music Camp to Redefine Global Music Trends

The beginning of a new chapter in global music trends.

Paradisus Accra recently hosted a groundbreaking Music Camp, uniting Warner Music Africa and Atlantic UK artists and producers in an exploration of Afrobeat, Amapiano, and Afro-Swing genres. Against the backdrop of Accra’s rising prominence as a top destination for 2024, the event showcased the fusion of cultural influences shaping the global music landscape.

This collaborative endeavor brought together a diverse array of talents from Africa and the UK, fostering authentic connections and igniting creative collaborations that transcend borders. With renowned artists and producers from Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana, and the United Kingdom in attendance, the Music Camp served as a catalyst for innovation and artistic expression.

From Nigeria, artists such as Joeboy, The Cavemen, Kold AF, Fave, Taves, Winnie, BlaqBonez, BKay, and JayO, along with producers MagicSticks, Telz, Reward Beatz, and Remy Baggins, contributed to the diverse mix. South African talents Nkosazana Daughter and Kamo Mphela, writer Baby SON, and producer Yumbz enriched the creative discussions and collaborations. Hailing from Botswana was Dato Seiko who recorded her first amapiano track.

Representing the United Kingdom, artists Youngs Teflon and Tion Wayne, accompanied by producers The Elements, TSB, Dera, and Rz, provided their unique perspective to the collective endeavor. Ghanaian artists Black Sherif and Le Meme Gang, along with producer Juls, showcased the distinctive sounds of their region. East African artist Bien rounded out the assembly, adding a layer of diversity to the collaborative efforts.

Over the course of five dynamic days, participants engaged in workshops, discussions, and creative sessions, culminating in a closing event that marked the beginning of a new chapter in global music trends. From Nigeria’s vibrant music scene to the infectious rhythms of South Africa and the UK’s eclectic sounds, the Music Camp celebrated the richness and diversity of musical traditions from around the world.
