GHAMRO to start collecting taxes from churches
The never ending debate concerning churches paying taxes has been ignited again as the Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO) has openly declared its desire to retrieve all royalties owed from churches for the use of their songs during worship.

Over the past year, the Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO) in consultation with the Ghana Police Service have been discussing areas of cooperation, assistance and how to best streamline the enforcement of copyright law and the Society’s operations in the collection of copyright royalties nationwide.
Atuu Festival of Arts to be launched in August
The Joint Committee of CMOs (JCCMO) which comprises the Collective Management Organizations (CMOs) representing the three copyright owners’ societies in Ghana is to launch the Atuu Festival of Arts – AFA on August 19 at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Accra.
