Dancehall artist Jupitar was awarded the Best African Artist at the 2017 Urban Music Awards.
The awards show which heavily based on public vote saw Jupitar emerge tops over a host of other african artistes.
The recognition for Jupitar is a further confirmation of the super talents in the Ghana music industry.

Another artist of Ghanaian descent who was awarded is Stormzy. Th UK-based rapper was awarded the Grime artist of the year .
The Urban Music Awards (UMA) is the world’s leading HipHop, R&B, Grime, Soul, Jazz, Gospel and EDM awards ceremony launched in the UK.
American rapper Jay Z said: “The Urban Music Awards was the first awards ceremony that said, hey you, the music fans, you tell us what is popular, not some academy of judges.”
