Meet Davis Joana Foncia, a strong pillar behind Bisa Kdei’s – Black Legendary Music label

Anytime Black Legendary Music is mentioned, the name that comes to mind is Bisa Kdei.

Before Black Legendary Music was birthed Bisa Kdei had to assemble a few trusted people.

One pillar that has laid low and the main pillar for Black Legendary Music is Davis Joana Foncia who doubles as Head of Production & Financier to the award winning record label.

One thing Joana indicated she wanted to achieve with Black Legendary Music was to change the status-quo with professionalism and pragmatism.

It’s been rumoured that Joana secured the Coke Studio Africa 2017 deal which paired Bisa Kdei with Ugandan artiste Eddy Kenzo.

Joana urged Bisa Kdei to nurture Sista Afia. Black Legendary Music successfully introduced her to mainstream Ghanaian music. Bisa Kdei successfully produced ‘Are You Ready’ and featured on ‘Krokrono’.

Joana has seriously worked both in Europe and Africa and is heavily respected in the area of event organizing and planning. She speaks English, Ga and Fante and has tremendous experience in music production and technical direction.

As part of her efforts to promote Ghanaian music on the African continent and beyond, Joana travels a lot to negotiate for marketing and distribution avenues for Ghanaian musical works.

Joana also has talent manager as one of her professions which she has been able to securing amusic licensing deals, touring schedules, clothing deals and product endorsement deals for Pappy Kojo, Efya, Stonewboy, Bisa Kdei and more.

To her Black Legendary Music is here to stay, home to all talents and we have bigger projects in 2018 and beyond.
