Reliable information available indicates that talented up and coming afro beat and dancehall artiste Afro Pee have been signed on to a record label being managed by UK-based artiste manager Emmanuel Nutakor (E.N).

Nutakor, who is known in the showbiz scene in Ghana as Kofi Jam, is currently managing a number of local artiste which includes up and coming artiste Clay Jay.

Reports say there have been a couple of very fruitful meetings and negotiations between Kofi Jam and the management of Afro Pee.

Even though Kofi Jam will not disclose the amount involved in the deal, he told this writer in an exclusive interview that the deal is very juicy.

“This is the first I am working with Kofi but I have worked with other international artiste managers. This deal is a real breakthrough for me.” Afro Pee said.

“You are the gateway and future of African afrobeat and dancehall music,” Kofi Jam reportedly told Afro Pee at a meeting.

Speaking in an interview, Kofi Jam said most of the artistes’ manager are unserious and don’t even know what their roles as artistes’ managers are.

“I believe Ghanaian managers should manage themselves before they even think about managing any artiste,” he openly bluffed.

His quandary with managers is that most of them do not understand their job and are only interested in following artistes who have already made their names.

All who are keen observers of Ghana’s music industry will definitely not find it hard to know who Kofi is.

Indeed, he is not a new face on Ghana’s music scene. He has been around for some time now and has managed a number of artistes.
