Momoh Oshiotseameh Luke, known professionally as Kvng Vidarr, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter from Edo State. Raised in Ikorodu, Lagos, his early years were shaped by a powerful musical influence from his grandmother, whose diverse playlist ranged from iconic African voices like Yvonne Chaka Chaka to global boy bands like Westlife and Backstreet Boys. This exposure to a wide spectrum of sounds planted the seeds for Vidarr’s future in music, developing him into an artist with a unique soundscape and creative perspective.

Vidarr’s journey has been marked by his contributions behind the scenes, where he established himself as one of Afrobeats’ hidden gems. His songwriting prowess has graced tracks by notable artists such as Joeboy, Reekado Banks, Ric Hassani, and Laycon, with standout songs like “Adenuga,” “Duffel Bag,” and “Bioba” all benefiting from his distinct lyrical touch. Now stepping into the spotlight as Young Legend’s flagship artist, Vidarr is set to unveil his self-titled debut EP, Kvng Vidarr, scheduled for release at midnight on November 1, 2025. His sound, which blends Afrobeat, Highlife, and Dancehall, promises to bring a fresh and dynamic energy to the industry. With an innovative approach and an eagerness to explore uncharted musical territory, Vidarr’s debut EP is anticipated to be a powerful introduction to his artistry.

In celebrating Vidarr’s unveiling, Deola Jaiyesimi, Head of Label at Young Legend, expressed the label’s vision and commitment to nurturing the next wave of Afrobeat superstars. “At Young Legend, we are not just building careers; we are building a legacy,” Jaiyesimi shared. “Our goal is to provide a home for artists like Vidarr who embody the spirit of African music and are ready to carry the baton for the next generation.”
