Mavis Offeibea Amartey simply known by the stage name ‘Maa ’ is undoubtedly one of the few female backing artists in Ghana with high vocal prowess coupled with great anointing and the ability to capture the admiration of her audience.
Mavis Offeibea Amartey (Maa), is an anointed, dynamic, and extremely versatile contemporary backing vocalist. Having started music at a very tender age, she made her first public appearance at the first-ever TV3 MENTOR in 2017.
From then till now, Maa is known to always leave her audience undoubtedly blessed when she does backing at music events.
Maa was born to a very vibrant music family. Being the only child of highly learned musicians, her mother began mentoring and harnessing her vocal capabilities from the get-go. When formal education began for her, she joined a non-denominational singing group; Heavenly Voices.
Under the auspices of Heavenly Voices, Maa got the opportunity to minister on several platforms; countless church concerts, state functions, and backing of artists on songs. With time, she found her way into the hearts of people through her exceptionally unique voice and infectious ministry.
Fast forward, Maa has done backing vocals for Sarkodie, Akwaboah, Kyrmi, Strongman, Ohemaa Mercy, Akwetey, Luta, and more.
She has been spotted a couple of times performing with the GH Rock Band which is made up of Strongman, Lasmid, Vanilla, DJ Quaye, Kaywa, Bash, Gido, Hussein, TT, Johnny, DJ Loft, Issaka, and Krymi.
