Ghanaian-American hip-hop artist, filmmaker, and visual artist, Samuel Bazawule, stage named Blitz the Ambassador, has featured renowned rap lyricist, Akan, on ‘fire’ – the soundtrack of his feature film, ‘The Burial of Kojo’.
The soundtrack hovers on a solid hip hop jam with the noticeable sound of trumpets blasting through the main hook of the song. Blitz delivers in his signature English tongue twisting style while Akan reinforces the vibe in his native Twi mother tongue.
The song, produced by Optiks, serves as the official soundtrack for the award winning movie, ‘The Burial of Kojo’, a 2018 movie which was premiered for the first time at the Urbanworld Film Festival 2018.
The movie will soon be on giant online streaming website, Netflix, from March 31st, following the purchase of distribution rights by Array- A film distribution company.
The Burial of Kojo was shot in Ghana, produced by Sam Blitz Bazawule and Ama K. Abrebese and concerns the tumultuous relationship between two brothers, Kojo and Kwabena.
