Akesse Brempong prophesies in new single release: Alright
Ghana’s Gospel reggae king and frontliner, Akesse Brempong, has once again stunned his fans with the release of his brand new joint ‘Alright’.
‘Alright’ was recorded live at Mantse Agbona during the 2018 edition of his annual carnival event dubbed ‘Agape Carnival’. Before this song, we have had a share of what he has to offer regarding gospel reggae through the new Afropop rendition of Crazy Love which features Bernard Franklin and ‘Wonderful‘ from the same concert.
Akesse for some time now has enjoyed the position as the most celebrated gospel reggae artiste in Ghana since the release of his chart-topping song ‘Crazy Love’, hence moving him from being a regular artiste into the most sort-after section in Ghana.
We have all applauded him for his versatility, style, and approach to music. We have seen him perform typical root reggae gospel music (reggae version of Crazy Love, God is Working, etc) to Pentecostal worship (simultaneous worship 1&2) and now to Afrobeat Gospel.
Akesse Brempong has been nominated for the 20th edition of Vodafone Ghana Music Awards scheduled for May 18th, 2019 in the category of Gospel Artiste of the year.
Akesse also put up a splendid performance at the VGMA Experience Concert held over the weekend at the Independence Square.
