Ghanaian Afro Roots music star, Rocky Dawuni, has been nominated for the 67th GRAMMY Awards for his song “Rise” for ;“Best Global Music Performance”. This marks the fourth GRAMMY nomination for Dawuni and for his country Ghana.
“Rise” is the lead single from his highly anticipated forthcoming album slated for release in the first quarter of 2025 by Aquarian Records and distributed by Tuff Gong International. Upon its release “Rise” has come to echo a global musical call to action emboldening people and communities across the world to envision the endless positive possibilities when they take a stand in strength and remain aligned in a collective mission to achieve true liberation and freedom.
With the backdrop of current major political and social change, conflicts and uncertainties happening across the world jn America, Europe, Africa and elsewhere “Rise” carries a timely sound and a message which resonates with the times.
