The internet has been in awe since Friday when Ghanaian Music Mogul D-Black took to social media to share his first 6 years career in showbiz.
The award-winning artist mentioned in one of the posts “One thing I never played with was my brand, my appearance, that sold me. I could be broke cos I’d spend all I had on the outfit for the event.”
Lots of people have been in shock with certain revelations D-Black made in his inspiring 6 Waves Story.
Started out at age 17 in the studios of Hush Hush tryna record with @Dahammergh for years . I met @kwawkese @okra_dawidi @kwabenalive and more for the first time there in 2004 – 2006. Everyone was struggling to make it then. Hammer was the only star. #6Waves #DBlack pic.twitter.com/iWy6l9cfzl

Many believed D-Black came from a wealthy family and only did music to cover up whereas the music mogul had a tough journey working his way up to his current status.
He recalled sleeping on the couch of friends when he couldn’t afford to pay his hostel fees and studio fees at the same time.
Stayed with @DJMENSAH1 in his one bedroom in his family house in Madina in order to finish university cos I couldn’t sort out hostel fees and studio fees at the same time.I was on my own. family was pissed. We found jobs as errand guys at Aphrodisiac nite club. 6Waves #DBlack pic.twitter.com/AdUohUMTcy

Prayer, hard work and dedication are what built D-Black into the successful businessman he is today.
His empire, the Black Avenue Group of Companies is Ghana’s top-notch Entertainment Company consisting of a Record Label (Black Avenue Muzik), nightclub (Club Onyx), Oasis Pool & Shisha Lounge, Livewire Events and Volcano Advertising Agency.
