Social media has played host to career births of most music artists in Ghana. One cannot mention names without adding Cina Soul, Joey B, B4Bonah, Pappy Kojo and CJ Biggerman to the list.

So to end the first ever Social Media Week Accra in befitting chords, these 5 artists will headline the Accra Is Connected concert on Friday the 13th of September 2017 at the Accra Mall food court.

Social Media Week is a leading news platform and worldwide conference that curates and shares the best ideas, innovations and insights into how social media and technology are changing business, society and culture around the world.

This year, due to popular demand and growing interest, Accra is thrilled to be participating in Social Media Week through the new SMWi program.

The five artists make a good mix of genres with every music consumer being covered. Cina Soul had her debut EP (Metanoia) released in 2016 to great reviews.

Notable songs on her body of work include ‘Awo’ and ‘Julor’ featuring kabafestive’s M.anifest. She is part of the Black Girls Glow initiative with birthed the Mother of Heirs music project.

We all know Joey B. He released his Darryl EP in June with fans asking for the date of the album itself as they wanted more. ‘Sunshine’ and ‘Ranger’ off the Darryl EP made significant waves. B4Bonah’s boom boxed his way to social media stardom with ‘Dear God’.

The song became too big to ignore with top artist Sarkodie featuring on a remix. CJ Biggerman and Pappy Kojo complete the line up. They both have had a good year with CJ Biggerman being nominated for the VGMA Unsung category.

Is there any better way to end the first ever Social Media Week in Accra, Ghana than with the Accra Is Connected concert?  Surely not! SMWiAccra is being organised by Echo House.
