Ghanaian legendary musician, Kojo Antwi, has in an interview revealed that current artistes using his lyrics in their songs rather excites him.
This is quite contrary to the lawsuits and royalty demands other artistes would have made. He made this revelation in an interview with Becky of Joy News fame.
According to him, “The young ones are seeing the kind of work that was put into some of those songs and they appreciate it,”
Kojo Antwi has been dubbed “Mr. Music Man” with a successful musical career spanning over two decades.
His music has not been successfully categorized because he has a blend of Highlife, Reggae, Soul, RnB and Carribean lovers rock.
Kojo Antwi jokingly added, “some of them they were made with my song in the background.”
He stated it is fulfilling for him to see artists recognizing his songs – “I like it,” he said.
The ‘Dadie Anoma’ hitmaker said some people complain to him about other artists using his songs “but I say let them be.”
His diversity in music has contributed in many artists sampling his music such as Joey B, Kuami Eugene and Stonebwoy.
