Stonebwoy hits on his Shatta-VGMA scuffle, Nigerian Afrobeats, upcoming ‘More Of You’ single, others on USA’s biggest morning show; The Breakfast Club

BHIM Nation President and Ghanaian Reggae/Afro-dancehall A-lister, Stonebwoy was the latest guest on the biggest morning show in USA “The Breakfast Club” ahead of his upcoming single; More Of You.

The artist who is currently in the U.S with his wife was featured on the show where he discussed a series of things including his new music, the power of Afrobeats, his ban from the VGMAs, Nigeria vs Ghana music industry and lots more.

Stonebwoy recently announced his new single, “More Of You,” due out February 3. The song was Produced by renowned music producers SupaDups, IzzyAreUKiddinMe, and Cresso.

The love-themed afropop song will be the third new release from the Ghana-based reggae, dancehall & afrobeats artiste since joining Universal Music Group/DefJam Record in May 2022, following September’s self-affirmative single “Gidigba” (Firm & Strong), which was produced by Phantom.

Stonebwoy has also announced the news of his fifth full-length album is arriving in March two years after releasing his 2020 critically acclaimed “Anloga Junction” album.

The ‘Therapy’ hitmaker would also on March 3, 2023, have a live performance at New York City’s “Palladium Time Square.

Meanwhile, the host of the popular entertainment show The Breakfast Club Charlamagne Tha God met Ghana’s Stonebwoy some days ago and it was pure bliss.

The co-host of iHeartRadio’s The Breakfast Club was elated to meet Stonebwoy as they gave each other a manly hug and a handshake as they beamed with laughter in the video.

Furthermore, the Ghanaian Dancehall singer spoke on why the Nigerian music industry is ahead of the Ghanaian music industry on the international scene.

Speaking in an interview with BreakFast Club Show in America, Stonebwoy who has a great relationship with Nigerian acts said the success of the Nigerian musicians is due to their nation’s huge population.

According to Stonebwoy, the high population of Nigeria helps the industry, the singer also stated that Nigerian acts are tenacious, aggressive, hardworking, and have a winning mindset. Stonebwoy, however, pointed out that both countries inspire each other, which further enhances their individual growth.

Stonebwoy also commended our local musicians for doing their best despite not having the support and financial muscles as compared to Nigerians.

“It’s just recently that some of our musicians had distribution deals with Sony and Universal music. Our local musicians are really putting in their best and I believe that with them, they’ll rock shoulders with their Nigerian colleagues in the music industry.” He stated.

Stonebwoy added that “interestingly, everyone of their top-lister, finds inspiration in Ghana. Burna says it often, Wizkid literally lives in Ghana, Davido is like a brother that’s 24/7 we’re together. We’re all playing our individual roles together out there we cannot all be in the front seat.”

The popular Reggae/Dancehall artiste made his debut on the popular Breakfast Club show on New York-based Power FM on Tuesday.

The award-winning musician opened up about the growth of the Afrobeat genre, the impact it has made in Africa and other yet-to-be-explored genres of music on the continent.

The singer also went on to speak about his career, his life-threatening accident, his scuffle with Shatta Wale, and other interesting topics.
