The Afrofuture Rising Star Challenge is back for 2024, and it’s bigger and better with even more exciting opportunities for emerging talent.

In collaboration with The Continent Live, this year’s challenge offers aspiring musicians a remarkable platform to showcase their skills, gain industry recognition, and connect with top professionals in the music world.

As part of their commitment to nurturing talent, Afrofuture and The Continent Live have implemented initiatives like Music Business Training Programs and Mixing & Mastering Courses.

These efforts have been crucial in strengthening Africa’s music scene, and this partnership marks an exciting evolution, as both entities aim to empower the next generation of African stars and give them the tools they need to shine on the global stage.

With the 2024 edition, the competition is set to uncover even more extraordinary talent, making it one of the most anticipated events of the year for rising stars.

The Afrofuture Rising Star Challenge 2024 officially launched on October 3, 2024, with applications open until October 17, 2024.

To participate, aspiring artists must fill out an application form and upload a 60-second performance video on Instagram, tagging @afrofuturerisingstar, @afrofuture, and @thecontinentlive, and using the hashtag #AFRisingStar24.

From the entries, the Top 10 contestants will be selected to move forward, and the Top 5 finalists will be invited to an exclusive writing camp where they will collaborate with prominent artists and producers.

The grand winner will earn the chance to perform live at Culture Jam 2024, receive a cash prize to support their musical career, and benefit from year-long mentorship and support from experts within Afrofuture and The Continent Live’s network. This will help them refine their artistry, performance skills, and personal brand.
