Noble Nketsia

A couple of weeks ago, gospel musician Noble Nketsiah launched his social responsibility campaign to support street children dubbed “Thousand Kids-Off-The-Streets Project”.

The project seeks to help raise significant amounts of money through eight major concerts to support five selected Orphanages and Children’s home who have pledged to take up a considerable number of street children across the country.

Hammer of the Last Two

Even though he has been influential in the success of hiplife artistes like Obrafour and Tinny, Hammer aka Edward Nana Poku Osei of the Last Two records is not someone one may recognize on the street.

For the past six years, Hammer has made a great contribution to the music industry doubling as an instrumental producer and manager for artistes like Deeba, Dogo and Kwaw Kese apart from Obrafour and Tinny, all of whom have become successful in their own right. He has also worked with Joe Frazier and TH4 Kwages.

Reazn is one of the few gospel music groups in Ghana today who have kept faith with performing on real musical instruments as opposed to the use of computer-generated sounds. This, they demonstrate admirably on their maiden album.

REAZN’s album, which is titled ‘My Peace’, has all of its songs in Twi and English recorded with the unique backing of strong Afro reggae rhythms that also on its own takes gospel music into a different level. Very often, gospel music in Ghana either takes the tunes of show worship or the highly danceable praise songs but Afro reggae is quite rare.
